CLAIT Certification

CLAIT
CLAIT is a graded scheme of IT skills
certifications which builds from basic to advanced level
of skill. Each certificate requires the completion of
a number of core and optional modules. Also, units from
other certification, such as IC³, MOS, or BBC Webwise,
can be taken as optional modules to count towards CLAIT

New CLAIT
The New CLAIT module is designed for IT
beginners. New CLAIT builds on the strengths of CLAIT
Stage I, the UK's most popular IT qualification. New
CLAIT consists of units that you can enter individually
as part of a nationally recognised IT user award, or
in any combination according to your needs. It covers
the mandatory unit, Using a Computer, and the four optional
units of Word Processing, Electronic Communications,
Spreadsheets and Presentation Graphics. New CLAIT is
the first step towards acquiring IT skills for the 21st
Century workplace.
CLAIT Plus
CLAIT Plus is designed to increase
candidates' IT productivity. Suitable for those who
already have some IT experience, it allows candidates
to tailor the qualification to suit their own needs.
Developed in consultation with industry, CLAIT Plus
consists of units that you can enter individually as
part of a nationally recognised IT user award, or in
any combination according to your needs. Optional units
include Microsoft Office Specialist units, which allow
candidates to prove their ability to use industry-demanded
skills.
